The transplantation from nursery to fields is almost over. The season has been delayed; however, we are hopeful of a not-so-poor availability starting with an expected harvest by mid Jan – early Feb. There is considerable demand in the market. Prices are somewhat steady. In fact, with the new production season beginning in the new year, we expect a slight drop in prices. We can offer available volumes at better prices if booked right away!

Turmeric Oil

Prices are steady for now. With the new season approaching, prices may vary depending on the actual yield. Unfavorable weather conditions and loss of crop may result in less yield.

Clove Oil

Harvest of clove is in the first quarter of the year. At present, prices of pure and natural oil are showing an upward trend.

Cumin Oil

There are sufficient volumes available, and we can offer at very good prices presently.

Extracts

Bhoomi presents to you the current news on spice extracts:

Nutmeg Extract

Though available throughout the year, peak period of harvest is June to July. However, we have sufficient quantity and prices aren’t fluctuating much.

Curcumin Extract

Owing to reduction in sowing area (in view of the delay of the southwest monsoon) and crop loss due to heavy rainfall in October, a yield loss of 10-15% is anticipated. The standing crop is growing well and harvest is most areas are expected to begin by end Jan.

Ginger Extract

Ginger consumption has continued to expand, with analysts putting its global agro market share at US$5 billion annually.  As per the assessment of crop damages due to heavy rain / landslide in the growing areas in India, an estimated crop loss of more than 33% is expected for the new season. Actual picture will be clear by mid-January. However, due to steady demand, prices are expected to remain stable.

Black Pepper Extract

The recently concluded International Pepper Community meeting discussed unfavorable factors facing the world’s pepper sector, including continually declining prices, global financial crisis, abnormal weather conditions, uncontrolled diseases on plants, consumers’ growing requirements, rising production costs and unpredictable price developments. The meeting also declared huge carry forward stocks in some producing countries and this seems to have made an impact on black pepper prices, witnessing selling pressure.

Celery Extract

Though season is over, we have sufficient stocks to offer at relatively good pricing.
