Essential Oils
Vetiver oil
Bhoomi is pleased to introduce Vetiver oil. Steam distilled from Vetiveria zizanoides roots, the product is popular in India and finds use in medicinal applications. As far as the market situation goes, in the last two months, the prices have been steady.
Lemongrass Oil
A two week break is expected in the growing / production areas owing to a local festival. From the fourth week of January, production will resume. We have sufficient quantity to offer until then.
Palmarosa Oil
Palmarosa oil is produced year-round in southern part of India. Supply is finally catching up with demand and prices are moving slightly to higher side.
Davana Oil
As second round of sowing had to be done, the harvest time has been pushed further for the 2020 crop. Production of Davana oil will commence only by early-mid Feb. We will then have a clear picture of quality and the available volumes this year.
Indian Eucalyptus oil
Due to unexpected heavy rainfall early germinated seeds were damaged. Re-sowing is almost over and harvest is expected at the end of the first quarter of year. We have sufficient stock to offer and prices are somewhat steady for this time of the year.
Basil Oil
Black Pepper Oil
New season’s crop will arrive later this month and production will start at the same time. Over the year there may be a slight decrease in price due to supply being more than demand.
Cumin Oil
Due to unexpected heavy rainfall early germinated seeds were damaged. Re-sowing is almost over and harvest is expected at the end of the first quarter of year. We have sufficient stock to offer and prices are somewhat steady for this time of the year.
Extracts
Capsicum Extract
There is a shortage of material in the market. However, we can offer smaller quantities New season in March when the prices will be more favourable.
Paprika Extract
Presently, there is scarcity in the market. Production has just commenced and we expect availability by mid Feb. We can offer small quantities to meet your immediate requirements.
Curcumin Extract
The crop has been good and harvest will begin by end Jan. The spice industry is waiting for a fresh harvest in February-March, and production volumes are expected to be same this year. Price of Turmeric raw material has been quite steady in the past three years.
Ginger Extract
As mentioned in our previous reports, there is a crop loss of more than 33% expected for the new season that will start in March. Due to steady demand, prices are expected to remain stable. In fact, once the new season begins, there is an expectation of a drop in prices too, but this is yet to be seen.
Black Pepper Extract
Vietnam production is estimated to drop by 18%, mainly due to unfavorable weather this season, whereas in other producing countries the yield is expected to be as usual. Additionally, there is carryover of last year’s production too – so, there is every chance that total supply will be higher than total demand. A decrease in price for raw material is anticipated this year, which translates to bad news for farmers. We estimate our production volumes to be stable this season.
Celery Extract
